Designer Charmaine Joie is the talented founder of Charmaine Joie Couture. Her collections are created for the woman who desires to stand out and be beautifully unique.
Born in Manila, Philippines, Joie moved to the U.S. as a young girl with the passion of one day designing her own line of dresses. In 1993, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) where she developed her skills and knowledge in design and production.
Joie’s career spans 22 years and in 2011, became a contestant on the NBC series “Fashion Star.” This was the defining moment that launched her career to new heights. Joie soon launched her fashion label in 2015. Her brand has conquered the fashion runway of Orange County Fashion Week for the past three seasons and has been featured in several magazines, including LA Style Magazine, ELEGANT, Runwayz Magazine, Avant Gard, and Women and Shoes. Most recently, she was featured in Inland Empire Magazine and Latina Magazine Worldwide.
Her dresses have been worn on the red carpet by American Idols Paris Bennett & Tamrya Gray; model Janine Tuganon, (Miss Philippines/Miss Universe 1st Runner Up 2012); America’s Next Top Models, Naima Mora (Winner of Cycle 4) & Ambreal Williams (Cycle 9); model Madeline Stuart; and French actresses Ineska TakTak.
Joie plans to expand her couture collection to include ready-to-wear and plus size pieces. Her label believes in creating diversity, self-acceptance, and positive empowerment through its luxury brand.
